Professional Daydreamer

I teach early American history at a liberal arts college in the Great Lakes region. Most of my work focuses on the intersections of racial identities and religious convictions in colonial New England, though I have been known to dabble in other areas as time and occasion allows. I am currently revising a manuscript, Race & Redemption in the “Citty upon a Hill,” for Oxford University Press.

I enjoy reading good paragraphs, playing good music loudly, running the basketball court with good friends, and pedaling good miles on one of my touring bikes.
